One recent night , I was deeply inspired by a live jazz session that left me tapping my feet and swaying my head for days to come. It energized me like no chocolate ever has...well, that may be an exaggeration as it is logically impossible for chocolate to be superseded. Nonetheless, I came into the studio the following day, anxiously spilling out this renewed energy in the form of acrylic paint, splotching it all across the canvas. It felt so good.
even more so, I basked in the glory of knowing that I was onto something interesting.
and then... (there is always a -and then....-)
and then, I did not know what next to do. On its own, its a common day image, common day concept. But my thoughts and feelings surely are not common day and so the struggle continues on how to take this image further.
so I played with more circles, and borrowed cut-out men...
then tried a subtle layer of waves and figure eights...
which is interesting close up but still...
lacking something.
lots of things.
so it continues...
