and it is, but...
A textile artist came over to my desk and chuckled. It was a friendly, warm kind of chuckle, but nonetheless suspicious. I looked at her with a little uncertainty and she smiled. "Look at how orderly this is," she says, "what if we were to move this around, and pull this away from the box, and throw in this other art piece, maybe even add some plastic. And how about cutting it up?"
"What?!!!", I am thinking, "this woman is mad!" And then I looked, really looked at what she was doing and in an instant, I saw myself, as if the artwork was a mirror. Here was a display of bright, interesting colors, all very cohesive, placed so carefully within the boundaries (which of course were self imposed),with a hint of a conservative gesture to be "daring" by mixing and matching the textures.
I just had to laugh.
I must say, I still have no idea where this is going but it so much more exciting to think outside the box.
